Even if you can't reuse wastewater! It's possible. Just like CYCLE does. Although CYCLE's purified water doesn't have to pass drinking water certification because it manufactures cleaning products, we're not far from that either, as Bill Gates already achieved this in 2015. Isn't it amazing? The technology is already here.
Drinking water from sewage? Why?
More than 2.5 billion people in the world do not have access to clean drinking water. Our next blog article will explore this. Why does CYCLE not use a single drop of drinking water to produce its products? How big is the freshwater supply on Earth and in Hungary ?
However, Bill Gates' foundation has been working on solving the problem of drinking water shortage in developing countries for a long time. Then the multibillionaire suddenly uploaded a video to his own YouTube channel in which he demonstrated a machine that produces water suitable for human consumption from sewage . To prove that the method really works and is safe, Bill Gates himself drank a glass of water that had been sewage 5 minutes earlier.
How does Bill Gates' biomass power plant that produces drinking water work?
The miracle machine converts waste into energy and wastewater into drinking water. It extracts water from the incoming wastewater and burns the remaining dry matter at 1000 degrees, so there are no unpleasant odors. The steam generated in this way produces energy. This electricity generation ensures the operation of the system so that it can produce clean water. In this way, the extracted water is purified, disinfected, and freed from all harmful substances.
"Just a few minutes later, I could taste the result, the drinking water. The water tasted as good as any bottled water I've ever drunk. I learned the technique and would love to drink it every day. This water is safe," the billionaire Microsoft founder explained.
The series production of this miracle structure will take years. The next step is to produce 86,000 liters of drinking water per day from the wastewater of 100,000 people, while generating 250 kilowatts of electricity. All of this is planned to be implemented for the first time in Senegal. We are waiting for news about the opening.
What do you think about this? Would you drink the water from Bill Gates' miracle machine?
